Humerous authors note
My funny argument is a picture over my topic. I decided to try and draw what I thought was funny about the article I read. I am by no means an artist but I think it is done well enough to display humor. It is a picture of a pastor giving a prayer and in the middle he looks at the time and thinks to himself that he needs to get liquor and that the liquor store just opened. He then dismisses the congregation so he can buy liquor.

I thought the graphic was very funny. It was appropriate to get the point across without being overly offensive. I think that he did a good job as an artist; he definitely drew better than I ever could.
ReplyDeletei think the graph is very funny and i do not believe it is ofensive....it is funnny
ReplyDeleteI do like the idea of the setting of your cartoon. Maybe adding some more illustrations to the cartoon like people sitting in the congregation or something like that. I don't believe it to be offensive, but when first looking at the cartoon it could be, but after looking at it more in depth I think it is fine. good job
ReplyDeleteThe piece was funny and like everyone else has stated it's not overly offensive. Good job
ReplyDeleteI think the image is effective at what you are trying to argue. It is clear and the wording is easy to understand. Maybe you could include a communion bowl empty or something, therefore showing that people are spending their money on alcohol rather than during services.
ReplyDeleteYou cartoon worked, and got across the main point which your article has been dealing with. It was funny, and worked for me. The only thing that could make it funnier would maybe add an altar boy or some other character who is shocked that the priest is leaving early. Again not necessary but something to think about. Good job.
ReplyDeleteyour cartoon was good in stating your argument and it was really funny to think that a priest would actually do that. Good job
ReplyDeleteHey Mark, I think your cartoon was funny. I do not think it was too much, because Men of the Cloth do indulge at times haha...It was clear and simple. I liked it.
